The hybrid powertrains include a 2.0L four-cylinder engine that is combined with dual electric motors to produce 204 horsepower with a combined 44 mpg for the Sport and Touring editions and 48 mpg for the other hybrid trim levels. Both powertrains make use of an automatic continuously variable transmission.

The interior of the Accord has been updated to maximize comfort for both driver and passengers, with new soft upholstery throughout and ample headroom and legroom for both front and rear seats.
